Public Transportation Advocacy and Action
Reliable, permanently funded public transportation is a vital, necessary citizen service provided in progressive cities. It gives citizens an affordable, accessible option to pursue their daily lives. Public transportation is a major influence in economic development, reducing air pollution and vehicle congestion on roads and highways.
Greater Birmingham Ministries supports restoration of a public transportation system for the Greater Birmingham area that is clean, affordable, well-maintained, and dependable for riders who need to get where they want to go in a reasonable and timely fashion.
